Arianna M. Der Manulian, LLMSW
At times, we feel stuck, powerless, emotionally drained, and hopeless—but those feelings are not forever. I admire your strength and courage to seek support through mental health therapy. I believe all individuals hold the ability to mold themselves into the person they aspire to be, and I am honored you have allowed me to walk through this journey with you.
My approach as a therapist is strengths-based, assisting individuals to see their inherent resilience through self-exploration and empowerment. I also use aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), internal family systems therapy (IFS), solution-focused therapy (SFT), narrative therapy (NT), and motivational interviewing (MI) to assist you in your journey. Through warmth and compassion I aim to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and supportive environment to attain your unique goals. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Michigan State University and hold a Masters in clinical social work from the University of Michigan. My therapeutic interests include: depression and anxiety, adjustment disorders, substance use disorders, and sexual dysfunctions. I plan to attend the University of Michigan Sexual Health Certificate Program to further my capacity in sex therapy and sex education, as well as the Addictions Certificate Program related to substance use and co-occurring disorders in the following year. I am honored to work with you on your journey toward your optimal well-being. Together, we will work to develop your unique set of tools and coping mechanisms to help you reach your life’s fullest potential. |
